On 3 November 2022, we are intending on launching our new Programmatic Mail incentive to support brands using mail in a programmatic way.
Programmatic advertising is a rapidly growing way for brands to serve highly targeted adverts at the right time to customers. This exciting new incentive will enable more customers to benefit from using mail in a programmatic way.
Under the incentive customers will be able to post programmatic mailings at the Advertising Mail rate even for mailings which are below the 4000 items per day contractual threshold.
The incentive will run for 12 months and offer two mailing routes:
- Route A: For daily consolidated Programmatic Mail where the volume is below 4000 items, these items can be consolidated with business mail and postage credits will be awarded to achieve the Advertising Mail rate.
- Route B: For daily consolidated end-brand Programmatic Mail where the volume is equal to or greater than 4000 items, these items can simply be posted using the existing Royal Mail advertising mail product codes to achieve the Advertising Mail rate.
When does the incentive launch?
Under clause 3.1 of the Voucher Redemption and Reimbursement Agreement we are permitted to launch an incentive on reasonable notice, unless we receive a reasonable objection from an Access contract holder within 5 working days of our notice, in which case we must then provide 70 days’ notice.
We are keen for customers to benefit quickly from the Programmatic Mail incentive, so please accept this as reasonable notice of our intention to launch on 3 November 2022. If we do not receive any reasonable objection by 5pm on 2 November 2022, the incentive will launch on 3 November 2022. If we do receive a reasonable objection, then the launch of the incentive will be deferred to 4 January 2023.
