Access Walksort Database
The current Version of the Access Walksort Database is Database 2012. Each Version of the Access Walksort Database will have a number of releases.
For Walksort postings after the 2nd April 2012, the new Access Walksort Database 2012 must be downloaded and used.
A new release of the Access Walksort Database is issued online from the first Monday of every month. This allows it to be as up-to-date as possible, including details from the monthly updates to Royal Mail’s Postcode Address File as well as any changes in local postal rounds (or “walks”).

It is essential that our customers use only the most recent release of the Access Walksort Database. We recommend that all Access Walksort users download the latest database from this web site before preparing a particular mailing.
You must always use an Access Walksort Database Release which is no more than four months old. If you do not, your mailing may be delayed and/or your mailing will cost you more (to reflect our additional costs of sorting inaccurate items).
Walksort Database Licence Agreement
To obtain your copy of the Access Walksort Database, you will need to have signed an Access Walksort Database Licence Agreement. This is primarily to confirm that you agree that the database will only be used for the purpose described within the agreement i.e. for the sortation of postings.
Please return your signed licence to Charlotte Marshall, who will countersign the agreement and enable your account to access the Walksort Database.
Database File Formats
The Access Walksort Database is available in Fixed Field Width and Comma Delimited Field text formats for use by Access Walksort software.
The Access Walksort Database has been zipped. For more information on zip files click the link to the left.
Downloading the Walksort Database
The Walksort Database download file is only available to customers who have a Walksort agreement. Please refer to the Access Walksort Database Licence Agreement above. Once your agreement has been approved we will enable your account to download the Database.
