If our current services don’t meet your needs, Royal Mail Wholesale can work with you to create a new service.
The first step is to contact Royal Mail Wholesale's Head of Service Development so your requirements can be discussed in more detail:.
Mike Haskins
Tel: 07889 075907
E-Mail: mike.haskins@royalmail.com
We will then use the information you supply to assess the feasibility of your request before designing the service. When you are ready to formalise a request you will need to complete an application form. If you have multiple requests, you would need to complete a separate application form for each access product or service that is required. If you are not clear about completing any part of the application form, you can again contact Royal Mail Wholesale's Head of Service Development for further advice.
We will use this form to assess applications by customers and you will be offered the main terms with prices within three months of receipt of your completed form. In some situations, we may need to seek Postcomm’s agreement not to offer the main terms within three months of receipt of the application form if additional time is required.
The prices we provide will include an element for all costs specific to the service you require, so it is important that you provide sufficient information to enable us to identify these costs.
For example, as well as the mainstream mail processing activities of sorting, transport and delivery, other costs areas that should be considered may include (but may not be limited to):
• revenue protection
• handover (receiving your post into Royal Mail’s system)
• account billing
• customer complaints
• contract management
• implementation and set-up costs
• Systems development
• sampling.
All information provided to Royal Mail Wholesale will be treated in strict commercial confidence whilst the service is developed and a contract signed. Once sigend, Royal Mail must notify Postcomm and make the service available to the postal market generally.
If you have any queries about new service development please contact Royal Mail Wholesale’s Head of Service Development Mike Haskins (his details can be found at the top of this page).
