To trade with Royal Mail Wholesale you will use Royal Mail’s electronic docketing system E*Pro and a system called DocketHub, which is hosted by Mosaic On-Line Systems. There are no paper-based alternatives.
E*Pro: Accepts upload data details of customers’ bulk mailing for posting on any one day and translates these into manifests showing the mail to be received at each mail centre. Any changes made to a manifest, e.g. notification of exceptions, adjustments made as a result of non-compliance or Revenue Protection sampling activity, are tracked in E*Pro and presented to the poster as adjustments to the original upload.
DocketHub: Allows customers to book access slots at mail centres and notify Royal Mail of the drivers and vehicles expected at mail centres. All customers must forecast in advance the volumes of mail expected at each mail centre by service to allow Royal Mail to process the mail efficiently and effectively. Exceptions information is also uploaded into DocketHub and passed to E*Pro as adjustments to the daily mailing.
E*Pro is a legacy system that was designed for Royal Mail electronic dockets before Access services existed. It has been modified to provide the basic functionality for Access traffic. Additional functionality which cannot be easily built in E*Pro is provided by DocketHub, a bespoke application.
Electronic submission of mailing data is required for all Access postings to enable low costs for customers and Royal Mail alike. There is no manual option.
No. The software needed to trade with Royal Mail Wholesale is available to download free-of-charge from www.royalmailwholesale.com
A presentation on the use of DocketHub is provided for all new customers and support is provided by e-mailing support@dockethub.com. As E*Pro has a self-help menu, Royal Mail Wholesale does not supply training beyond that provided prior to signing an access agreement.
Once you have been issued with an account number, contact the E*Pro Support Team on 01246 214394.
Dockets have to be uploaded between 12.00 midnight and 3.30am, with final confirmation of a docket made by 6.30am.
Royal Mail adjusts the declared posting information according to what it actually receives and makes adjustments where necessary to the information provided by the customer. The customer is informed of any changes and asked to provide agreement to these adjustments before their mail is released for processing. The sign-off is an acknowledgement that the billing adjustments have been authorised by the customer.
