Paul Bates was appointed the Managing Director at Royal Mail Wholesale in September 2010, having previously held the position of Commercial Director since Wholesale’s inception as a Business Unit in April 2006. 

Prior to that he was Head of Access for Royal Mail Group Regulation and part of the team that negotiated the first contract with UK Mail in 2004.

Paul has more than 25 years of experience in senior roles within Royal Mail Group and a wealth of knowledge of Strategic Operations, Regulatory Planning, Business Strategy and Strategic Marketing.
